Yep, our third trip is nearly over and I’m just now writing… I know, I suck… bet none of you are too shocked. Our trip has been interesting and I’ll write more about it later, but the internet is sort of working today, so I thought I’d share a clip from physio last week. Mom started filming about 15 minutes after I started standing and I was on round three of hip exercises, so I was tired. I am doing hip swings right to left, forward and backward hip/pelvic thrusts and clockwise/counter-clockwise hip circles. Sonia has to help a few times, but I’m stabilizing myself for the most part. I am wearing an ab binder and separate leg braces that come to mid-thigh; there is absolutely no support through my hips. This is new this trip. The first two trips my braces were one unit from below my chest to my feet. It’s probably hard to understand how much progress this is for me. Consider my accident paralyzed me from mid-chest down and the leg braces I have on in this video are basically what NuTech starts paraplegics in. I’m pretty impressed with how stable I am in them. Nine more days and two major procedures to go before I head home, let’s see what the last day looks like. ..
